Paper Prototype

      Today we finished our paper prototype. We also video taped our paper prototype. I am glad that we have finally finished them and now we can move on to the next step. We have been working on our paper prototypes for a few days now so it is a relief to finally finish it. I am glad to be moving on!!! :)

Adding Sound

In my game I plan to use sound in a few different ways. I will have a chatchy back ground tune. In my game if you miss a question it will make little noise also. I think that the sound will make the player more aware of what is going on in the game. For my back ground music I will pick something with a nice beat to it so it will not be boring.

Adding Input: keyboard

So far I think this class has been kind of hard. It has been a challenge. I have found flash helpful but complicated. It is an amazing tool if you know what you are doing. If you do tknow what you are doing it can just be a pain. Flash gives me some problems. I am glad that some of the other students know what they are doing.

Adding Animation

    I thought that adding animation was kind of interesting. For one thing it was a little bit hard but fun. I think that it is interesting that you can make things move like that.
 This is a little bit like the flower that I am making have animation. It is interesting trying to make it work.

Adding Buttons

    I have been trying to add buttons on my game for a few days now. I have copied and pasted the code a few times to see if it would help, I have even had a class mates help me with it. I finally got a button on my first page to work for me! The next task was to make the game stop on the next scene. I found it rather complicated to add a small button. I realized that without that button the whole game would not work!

Adding a Scene

    We have been working on adding scenes to our games. Some of my scenes have pictures. I am considering using some religious pictures. Some of the other pictures I might use are pictures of a house. I might use other pictures also.

Drawing a scene

    I have learned a lot about other religions in designing my game. I learned about Jewish and other religions. I got alot of my information from google. That was a reliable source for me because I could look at a lot of different things. I thought google was verry helpful.

What Would I Change?

       If I could change one thing about globaloria I would change the way the directions are made. The way the directions are made right now can be confusing if you don’t know what you are doing. This is my first year in globaloria and some of the directions are very confusing. Like when it tells you to add a keyframe, I don’t know what that is. I would change this by giving more detail about how to do something. Maybe even showing more pictures or videos of how to do a specific item.

                Anyone who has never been in globaloria will benefit from this change. It will help them understand how to make their game. When you sit there and try to figure out how to do something it can get very frustrating. This will eliminate a lot of time and frustration. This would make it so much easier for me and a lot of other people.

Game time

    I am working a little bit slow in my game. I am on the second scene of my game. I have pretty much been sticking to the same plans I had when I started. I think the most exciting thing about my game is proably going to be the scenes where you can build your own house. I think the most difficult thing in making my game is going to be adding buttons and making it go from scene to scene. I will proably need help in a few of the parts of my game. I have been reading the directions but they are verry confusing. I do not think I am going to add anything to my game because it is going to be hard enough the way it is and I don't want to make it any more complicated.

Exploring Other Wiki Pages

    I liked Ak09s wiki page (http://myglife.org/usa/wv/srmswiki/index.php/User:Ak09). I liked all the pictures and videos. I think that they should add less love pictures. This page gives me the idea to add videos and more pictures on my wiki. I liked there idea of having a screen that said loading.

My Christmas break

    

    Over Christmas I did not do many fun things. The last day of school was Wednesday the 23 so I will start my story there. After school I went to a candle light service at the church I go to on Wednesdays.  Thursday I helped my dad feed the cows. After we fed the cows we went and looked at Christmas lights. Friday morning I helped my dad feed the rest of the cows and Friday evening I went to candle light service at the church I attend on Sundays. Saturday was Christmas so my parents and I opened presents then my dad went and fed more cows while I played with my presents later on that day my family went down to my grandparents because my cousins were supposed to come in from South Carolina but they missed a road. They got in late that night.
        Sunday I went to church and then my parents and I went out to eat. Later we went down to my grandmothers where my cousins were staying. After dinner my cousins and I went out for a walk down the road. Then I went home. Monday and Tuesday I did not really do much. Wednesday my friend and there brother came over and we went sledding. That evening we all went to a kids program at church and one of my cousins came home with me. Thursday we played and then the friends from the day before came back over. Friday I had to go to Dawson with my mom to pick us some meat for my aunt. We took the meat to them at my grandmothers and they asked me to spent the night so I went home got some cloths and went down and spent the night. We stayed up till 2:00 watching a movie and talking. Saturday we went to a parade and then I went to my other families for a little while. Sunday I went to church then out to eat. That evening I watched Andy Griffith all evening. Today (Monday the 3rd) we had to go back to school.
